Two patients same goal weight loss and two very different outcomes
In October last year I was fortunate enought to meet with two lovely pateints. They came to their first consult with weight loss as theire number one health goal. They both had similiar goals of loosing about 8kg.
Patient 1- Worked huge hours, time poor and hated the idea of exercise. We worked out a specific diet plan for her with meals and foods that would suit her body type and give her the result she was after.
Patient 2- Worked normal hours, loved food and wasn't to keen to make many diet changes, but was commited to exercise and also saw a personal trainer throughout treatment.
I saw both patients again around early January. Patient 1- looked fabulous she had shifted the weight she wanted and more! With BIA testing we could see dramatic improvement in her body composition, not only had she excededed her weight loss goal but her skin had cleared and her hormonal complaints had improved markdely.
Patient 2-Didn't have the result she was after she really had no change to her weight. She had mentioned it yo-yo ed, but as she really enjoyed the holiday period everything she was loosing just kept coming back.
Why such different results?
If you fuel your body with rubbish you will get a rubbish outcome, no matter how much exercise you do. Exercise is briiliant and the health benefits are endless but works best with a healthy diet. First focus all your energy on understanding food and learning to eat well. Once this is a habit then add in exercise for further benefit.
Moderation, variation and treat foods are exactly that, treats!
